Bassetlaw District Council Chooses Webaspx Digital Depot to Support Digital Transformation

Routeware, Inc., the new home for Webaspx, is pleased to announce that Bassetlaw District Council has selected Digital Depot as their new waste and environmental management technology solution.

To support its ongoing digital transformation strategy, Bassetlaw will equip 20 refuse & recycling collection vehicles with the latest In-Cab technology, alongside back-office systems to design and manage rounds, automate workflows, and reduce paperwork and administration across its waste, recycling and street cleansing services.

Like many UK local authorities, Bassetlaw has seen significant population growth over recent years and is forecasting households to grow by 6% over the next 5 years.

Councillor Julie Leigh, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhood Services at Bassetlaw District Council said: “Following a thorough procurement process we are delighted to appoint Webaspx to work with us as we look to optimise our waste management services. We look forward to forming a strong partnership and making the most of this excellent opportunity.”

Digital Depot provides local authorities with modern, joined-up, easy-to-use systems that let waste and environmental teams design lower cost services, work more efficiently, and empower citizens to engage with services using cost-effective digital apps and web tools.

Thomas Moffat, UK Sales Director for Routeware said: “We’re really excited to be working with the team at Bassetlaw as they look to kick start the digital transformation of their waste and street cleansing services.”

Bassetlaw is the 11th new UK authority to select Routeware in the last 12 months and joins a Routeware UK customer community of over 100 councils.
