32 refuse & recycling collection vehicles will be equipped with the latest In-Cab technology and integrated with the Digital Depot waste management solution to improve waste collections, communications, and reduce missed bins.
Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council has awarded Webaspx the contract for their waste collections management system.
Stephen Thomas, Waste strategy team Leader, said, “Having used the Webaspx EasyRoute software to support us in optimised waste collection round efficiency for more than 8 years we are now keen to implement the Webaspx Digital Depot solution in order to streamline our operations, digitise our processes, automate tasks, and improve communications between the back-office team, collection crews, and contact centre staff.
Merthyr Tydfil’s fleet of refuse & recycling collection vehicles will be fitted with In-Cab devices, replacing paper forms with touch-screen tablets, giving drivers the information they need to work safely and efficiently, whilst simultaneously providing the contact centre and the depot with real-time issues and performance information for service improvements.
Improving service efficiency, customer satisfaction and reducing the number of return visits from missed bins is a priority for us, supporting our operational, economic and environmental goals, with less miles travelled and fuel consumed.
